videos, cartoons, pictures, news

Overdue post.

I'm very annoyed with myself right now because I can't figure out how to embed the link to this video. I've done it before, it just won't work this time so you'll have to click on the link. Grrrrr. Anyhow, it's a video of four guys dancing on 6 treadmills. It's great, if you like that sort of thing, which I do and is precisely why I'm posting it. :-I

And I do believe that it's time for some Reverend Fun cartoons. They're overdue, actually, but whatever.

So today was our first Sunday at the new church. We had to stand up and have everyone clap for us, then we got on with the service. The sanctuary is arranged in a very odd manner. I'll see if I can't upload a diagram I made of it.

The turquoise is the pews; the yellow is the orchestra and choir loft; the pink is the altar; the purple is the dock thing where the pastor stands, and the orange is a waterfall - cool or what?

Also, because you're dying to see, if you click HERE it will take you to a 36o degrees virtual tour thingy of the sanctuary

I think there's some more virtual tours...yes, here they are.

HERE is the gathering area. If you look to the left of the church's second waterfall, that wall where the leaning plant is, that's the elevator. The idea is for you to be able to watch the waterfall as you go up and down. :-D Yo can also see the church's gift shop, and the stairs beneath the colored banners (to the right of the waterfall) take you down to the youth area, the choir room and Dad's office, and the nursery areas. If you lean over the balcony where all the palm trees are , you'll be looking down to the nursery.

THIS will take you to a tour of the Chapel of the Cross. It's a little mini sanctuary with it's own pastor where people go to church who don't like to attend services with 800 other people. Weird.

So.

The service on a whole was a bit more formal than FCC. Normally, we wouldn't all go to church together. The youth have Sunday School and Youth Church during the service times, which I still think is a little odd, but whatever.

Now I promised Spectre I would post pictures of the house, so here they are, as well as a few of the move itself.

This is our new house. It snowed the day before we got here, and we had to pour hot water on the driveway and shovel a lot of snow to defrost all the snow that had turned to solid ice.

That's all for now. Church has been canceled tonight because it snowed all day and the roads are unsafe. Wish you all the best down there where it doesn't snow....
