I was very imressed. Jerry Rice made it to the finals last season...we'll see if ol' Emmitt can do as well.

Talk show host Jerry Springer (boo!) and partner Kym Johnson
What can I say? Bleh!

Former Miss USA Shanna Moakley and professional partner Jesse DeSoto
Very stiff; Shanna needs to let loose

ESPN co-host and actor Mario Lopez and partner Karina Smirnoff
I was very impressed with this couple - though Karina is disappointingly catty. According to the judges, this is the couple to beat.

Actor Joey Lawrence and DWTS veteran Edyta Sliwinska
My favorite couple of the night - Joey turned out a delightful performance.

Actor Harry Hamlin and former DWTS competitor Ashly DelGrosso.
Not impressive. Almost as wooden as Season Two's Kenny Mayne, Harry was a flop.

Actress Vivica A. Fox and partner Nick Kosovich
Wow! The oldest woman in the competition, Vivica was very graceful and poised and these guys are definitely in the running.

Pop star Willa Ford and her partner Maksim Chmerkovskiy
They were...ah...so-so. Fine, but nothing amazing. Maks is really an incredible dancer.

Country music superstar Sara Evans and partner Tony Dovolani
Tony was partnered with pro wrestler Stacy Keibler last season, my least favorite couple who unfortunately got third place. He's just...annoying. Too bad for Sara.

Actress Monique Coleman and professional partner Louis Van Amstel
Best known for her role as Taylor McKessie in High School Musical, Monique has...room for imrovement. Not a total disaster, she has some potential, but they have their work cut out for them.

MSNBC anchor Tucker Carlson and partner Elena Grinenko.
Eliminated!
Okay, I'll put it plainly -- Tucker can't dance. At all, by any stretch of the imagination. He was horrible!

So, there you have it. The lineup is a lot more interesting than last year's; this should be a good season. My favorites are Joey & Edyta, Mario & Karina, and Vivica & Nick. Good luck ya'll.
