Don't you think that would be a good idea? Haha, no, you're going to stop reading now because you're sitting there thinking to yourself, "Oh boy, she's thinking of reasons to ramble on and on..."
So this weekend was dedicated to the celebration of the birthday of one of my great friends. What better way to celebrate than with a sleepover? We watched, what else, "Enchanted!" What a lovely movie - perfect chick flick!
and She's the Man, quite a funny movie. Yeah, that's a weird picture up there. It doesn't quite look like Giselle, and I'm pretty sure that's not an actual still.
Anyway, it was like 4:30 a.m. by the time the movies finished. I had little trouble falling asleep and little trouble awakening three and a half hours later when I had to get ready for Newspaper Class!!!! WoOt! :-) Let me tell you, it's pretty weird moving around in somebody else's house when you're the only one awake.

Brief interlude from partyness: We spent almost two hours polishing our stories. Mine is now completely done to my satisfaction and apparently the approval of Those Adults In Charge. It was pretty fun working in that spiffy computer lab. I'm really going to miss the kids in class. I only get to see them two more times!
Then it's down to a salon where I rejoined les filles de partie and had my nails done! It was so much fun - yes, this is the first time they've been professionally done. Least favorite part was definitely when that nice looking girl suddenly attacked my fingers with a Cuticle Ax. Painful. Blood was involved. But then I got to watch my hands turn into congealed wax which was pretty darn awesome. They are now bright red, with gorgeous glittery thumb accents of white flowers. *sigh* they told me that in newspaper writing you must zap all modifiers and clichés. Gorgeous glittery is perhaps disallowed? :-)
After that we proceeded to spend multiple hours imitating People In Half Comas Who Lie On Futons. This was followed by more boring stuff - dinner, leftover birthday cake, the movie Cutting Edge 3: Chasing the Dream, which was quite excellent, and then sleep!
Sunday I was bushed. Church was good. We had ensemble rehearsal afterward, which was bad. Blekk. Spleooghh. Mostly it's just the songs. The first one is this bland wishy washy piece called O For A Thousand Tongues, though it's not related to the hymn. The harmonies are simple and unimaginative and the text has absolutely zero meaningful content. The audience won't remember it 4 seconds after it's over.
The other one is an atrocious medley of I've Been Working On The Railroad, Oh Susanna, Home on the Range....and a few more. She ordered us to procure one of the following costumes: a Southern lady, a cotton picker, a railroad engineer, or random overalls and straw hats. Somebody'd better wake me up quick cause you have so got to be kidding me! You think I auditioned for this shebang to get up in front of an entire audience like Beverly Hillbillies In Three Part Harmony? Uh-uh, wrong. Blast it. It sucks.

Monday was pretty good. The ice machine leaked into our math classroom forcing them to move the table and chairs to the opposite side of the room so the carpet could dry, and freaking everybody out because their perfect seats were flipped around! Noooo! World.....is.....ending!!!!! *gasp* lol It was quite entertaining to watch every single person coming into the room, tripping over and unplugging the fan cord. Apparently nobody is watching where they're walking.
