Funny story. We were driving through our neighborhood and my four year old sister sees a yard covered in those purple flowery weeds. "Oh!!!!" she says, "They have such pretty flowers!!!" Then we passed a yard filled with dandelions. "Oh!!!!" she says, "Look! All their grass has yellow flowers!!!!!" Then we came to a flower bed where some bulbs were sprouting, but they hadn't bloomed yet so all you could see was the green stalks. "Mommy," she said, "They are growing weeds!!!!!" Lol.

I've been soooo busy. I have so much stuff to do and it's just not getting done. :-(

We finished up with the Newsroom class last Saturday, but we still have some copy editing to do and then I believe we'll have a closing reception.

I'm taking the ACT this Saturday. Pray for me!!!!!!!!!!! *groan*

I got my hair cut Monday. It's pretty short, like at my ears. :-) I love it. It's fun to mess with and tousle. The guy in the chair behind me came in and got checked in for a haircut and they mentioned that it had been 50 weeks since he'd come in. [Little side note, it's been almost exactly 50 weeks since my last haircut] He replied that he didn't get down to this part of the country very often, and went on to explain that he is retired and that he and his wife don't have a home anymore; they just travel from place to place and stay for so many weeks or months. Next they're going to Hawaii for 2 months and then to Uma for the winter.

At this point I am thinking two thoughts: why am I working so hard to eavesdrop on all of this, and Wouldn't it be neat to talk to this guy. I already had a bunch of questions I could ask him, and I'm fairly certain I could think of lots more. This is what learning to interview does to you. :-)

Choir concert is in like two weeks. Yeaeeegks. Want to know how many costumes I have been ordered to procure? Somewhere between 5 and 20,000. At least five, anyway, and if I have any say in the matter we won't have to get a sixth one for the sextet song. It wouldn't be flattering to attempt to look like the Andrews sisters anyway. Let's also mention that these are all to fit in the first half. Ridiculous. Show me to audition for ensemble and allow myself to be volunteered for three dances. Heeeeeelllpppp.
