Good morning, bloggers. Hope you're all enjoying Spring Break. Don't you love that picture to the left? What a stinker.
It's officially spring up here. The Bradford pear trees are snow white, though quickly turning green. There's a solitary redbud across the street also turning a beautiful pink. Yes, they should be called pinkbud trees.
Sunday afternoon I ran over to discover a little park I had heard about. This park is for the use of our neighborhood association, but it is very hidden away. If you didn't know it was there, you would never find it. Actually, that makes it kind of secret and mysteriously cool.
What is the past tense for swinging on a swing? I swung for a while, then tromped off into the woods and discovered a path leading to a long grassy bank on the edge of our neighborhood lake. It was lovely. I sat there for a little while and tried to simply enjoy the water and the ducks, but the ants eventually drove me away. :-)
Do you know what I would like to do? I would like to take a trip. By myself. The summer after my Senior year, maybe, just hop on a plane and fly off to a distant location where I have never been before. Heck, I'm not talking about going to France or anything - just a random state up north. I'd stay there for days and days and do all sorts of things. Walk around downtown, go to a park - probably not the mall or the movie theatre. I would go to whatever restaurants I wanted and say up in my hotel as late as I pleased watching tv or reading or writing in my journal, and then I would naturally sleep in as late as I felt like it. I would definitely order dinner from room service. I would take very long very hot showers and swim in the hotel. I would be un-useful and not worry one bit about anything. Well, that's the intent anyway. That would be a fun week.

I totally understand about the wanting to get away part. However, I want to visit random cities just to get a feel of the locals. =I would explore what the people are like there and what makes them so special.
The little boy is so cute.
Thank God for Spring!!!! It's so refreshing.
Just stay away from the grocery stories, or find a place really urban or really rural than there won't be anywhere to buy ice cream.
Thanks for the comment and the link (I just seen it)
I do like that picture, Phil is so cute in that hat!
