Well, I am back. This update is certainly due, and I am just now overcoming my persistent procrastination. As you may be aware, my sister and I were fortunate enough to receive an opportunity to visit our old home for the weekend, and we had an unbelievably amazing time. Against all odds we collectively created two lovely cakes and made the lovely discovery of the creative possibilities of almond paste. In the future pictures of our cake may be provided.

Saturday Erin picked me up for lunch and we spent the rest of the day....well, mostly watching movies. :-) We did some talking, too, and some helping out with the dumplings, and more eating of the chicken and dumplings. lol.

Sunday we got up, dashed around like crazy and made a mad dash to church. Unlike the teen group, it was pretty much the same, only everyone was a little taller. I was really glad I was able to go.
After a quick lunch we headed out of town and her I am, home again, home again.
Yesterday we had our final rehearsal before we sing in church on Sunday. Yeeks. It's just a couple of High School girls and a smallish band. We have done it before, same band, a couple of different girls. Really hope it goes well.
Oh, and GUESS WHAT? I found out what "don't drive into smoke" means. :-) Around here there is apparently an increased possibility for grass fires, and it is really dangerous for people to drive into smoke obscuring the road assuming that it's a controlled burn nearby. You could be driving straight into a fire across the road. :-I Soooo.
I leave you with this WICKED SPEED BUMP....mwahahahahaha

Good speed bump. Almost physically impossible. Cars fall a lot faster than that.
