Dreams of a Concert

To all you who missed the Casting Crowns concert last night, YOU MISSED IT!!!! Iit was SO TOTALLY AWESOME!!! All of you who went: I was very impressed with Josh Bates. How 'bout ya'll? I bought a cd and he autographed it. The lead singer of Casting Crowns was sick and I felt sorry for him...you could tell he was struggling. I didn't see as many people as I thought I would...Blake Rab was the only homeschooler I saw.
I went with my friend Jeff. He came forward at the end, for the atlar call. Evan and Courtney, are you reading this? I cried for him because I hope he really meant it -- I hope he really felt God last night. He just moved here from Missouri last year. He was supposed to be a senior this year but NHS didn't take last year's credit, so he's dropped out of school. He's going to get a GED next year. I have prayed so hard for him...he makes me think of the song 'American Dream'. He tries so hard: to get along with his dad, to make friends, to be popular at school. He tries so hard but he isn't a Christian, and I feel like he's trying to build a castle in the sand all by himself. I hope to heaven it was real. It's hard to talk to him about stuff like that, you know? He has a huge amount of pride and he's so independant.
Sunday morning the High School class was discussing strange dreams. Chris (he has a 'fro) said he once dreamed he married Becca (his girlfriend) and instead of exchanging rings, they gave each other Colgate toothbrushes. Tyler (he owns a red Mustang I sincerely envy) said he had dreamed about a robotic cat with glowing red eyes that controlled every move he made. The cat gave his orders in Japanese! Well, last week I dreamed, in great detail, that I was in a car wreck because Mandy (a college girl that works in the church nursery) had picked me up from ballet and was drunk. My head went through the front windshield and the impact broke every bone in my face, and I suffered a massive concussion. It also messed up my back and I had to go to rehab to learn how to walk again. Isn't that horrible?
I hope everyone had a good time last night at the phone bank. See ya'll later...So long for now,

~JC
