The day is smooth, and cold. I am not.
I am reading Crazy Lady! and I am trying very hard to be interested in the story. The main character, a junior high boy, says (in third person) "I want you to know about our neighborhood. It's called Tenley Heights. Why anybody named it that is beyond me...." Sorry, but that annoys me. What's wrong with Tenley Heights? He has nothing to complain about, as if it were something extremely odd or a really bad pun. The story and style reminds me of The Moves Make The Man, only the latter was much better. So far. Anyway.....
We are excited because my extended family has brought us a Wii. I mean, has come for a visit and brought their new Wii for us to look at. I mean...
lol
Why do I have a feeling I'm going to be feeling this in the shoulder area very soon?
I don't know about you, but I am really enjoying the no school days. Basically, I have laid around the house and done nothing since we quit before Christmas. Well, I have continued exercising. My journaling has suffered severe neglect, perhaps from a disrupted bedroom situation with all the company (I habitually write at night), or perhaps because....well, that second hypothesis would not interest you, and is probably not the real reason anyway....hmmm.
That's pretty much it for this rambling post. I am aware that it is insufferably stiff and not interesting, and I apologize. Most of my creative brain cells are presently on Christmas vacation. Hasta la vista ---

"Clocks," by Coldplay
The lyrics to this song are strange, I think, because of the way they are accented. The placement of the words are not what you would say in real life.
Lights go out and I can’t be saved
Tides that I tried to swim against
Brought me down upon my knees
Oh I beg, I beg and plead
Singin’, come out if things aren’t said
Shoot an apple off my head
And a, trouble that can’t be named
Tigers waitin’ to be tamed
Singing, oooo, ohhhh
Ooooo, ohhhhh
Confusion never stops
Closing walls and ticking clocks
Gonna, come back and take you home
I could not stop that you now know
Singin’, come out upon my seas
Curse missed opportunities
Am I, a part of the cure
Or am I part of the disease
Singin’, oooo, ohhhh
Oh nothing else compares
Oh nothing else compares
And nothing else compares
Oooooo, ohhhhh
Home, home, where I wanted to go
