Hey people. I know you are all excited about this new update, judging from the overly warm response I received on the last one. :-D

Last night we attended a Philharmonic Orchestra concert at the Civic Center featuring the von Trapp Children. I have posted about them before, but it is a singing group of four brothers and sisters, the great grandchildren of Captain von Trapp of the Sound of Music. I really enjoyed their music; they sounded fantastic with the orchestra behind them. Three girls, aged 19, 17, and 16, and one boy, aged 13. This morning we all piled into the car and headed to a canyon of soft red rocks not far away. We hiked around a bit, which gets pretty hazardous when you attempt to climb down a narrow trail with two little people. We also collected some pond water for a biology experiment. :-) It was chilly when we got there, but we had all shed our sweatshirts within the first half hour. Amazing how quickly it warms up.

We've all heard about giving more than a hundred percent in areas of our lives, but what does that really mean? What does it take? Looking at it from a mathematical point of view, you might be surprised.
