Ummm I could post about.....

I got eight e-mails this past weekend. That's a little wierd. Hey, I'm not complaining. :-)

Last night on Dancing with the Stars we expected Billy Ray to be in the bottom 2 but it was a giant shock to see Joey there. We all knew Billy Ray and Karina would be the ones to go, but it was still scary seeing Joey down there too. :-I

I was flipping through my Bible this morning and I came upon (that sounds funny) 1 Corinthians 7. I remember the Sunday School discussion we had about said text, yet I don't remember ever coming to a conclusion. Highlights of the text:

It is good for a man not to marry. But since there is so much immorality, each man should have his own wife, and each woman her own husband....I say this as a concession, not as a command. I wish that all men were as I am. But each man has his own gift from God....Now to the unmarried and the widows I say: It is good for them to stay unmarried, as I am. But if they cannot control themselves, they should marry, for it is better to marry than to burn with passion...those who marry will face many troubles in this life, and I want to spare you this.

A couple of people got all hung up on Paul's "arrogance" and never made it any further. But mostly we never decided why we shouldn't get married, or why Paul had the right to say this since he never married, or why does he keep changing his mind and saying it's okay to get married.... :-) We've definitely had more productive discussions.

Let's see. CATS was a lot of fun. I had problems getting the binoculars to focus...or maybe it was my eyes....didn't figure that out. And I have a song from Les Miserables stuck in my head that I've only heard once in my entire life, and that was two weeks ago.

Do you hear the people sing?
Singing a song of angry men?
It is the music of a people
Who will not be slaves again!
When the beating of your heart
Echoes the beating of the drums
There is a life about to start
When tomorrow comes!

Cool song. And very hummable.

If you are extremely bored, click HERE to play MadLibs. Not the highest level of amusement.

And now, two random sentences, on in English, y la otra en EspaƱol.

I have a great craving for vanilla ice cream and cherry starbursts right now.
Una mujer morada va a comer pan y manzanas debajo de la mesa.
:-D

My Spanish is still despairingly pitiful.
