So Monday night was, of course, the big ball. (finally I have this thing posted!!!!) I could hardly wait! We arrived early for once in our lives, knives in hand. People began to appear in twos and threes. Yes, apparently this ball was going to be a reality. The costumes were gorgeous!!!!!! I could have sat there for hours just looking around at everyone's costumes!
We decided to get a group picture first. One by one, we wedged everyone of us into this unbelievably small square - we're talking thirty people in a space eight feet square1 I'd post a picture to prove it, but none of them turned out especially well, so you'll just have to take my word for it!
After we'd unstacked ourselves and recommenced normal breathing, Queen Dianna went into the ballroom to announce the lords and ladies and formally invite us to dinner. So we all stood in the lobby c r a n i n g our necks (at least I was craning my neck) to hear our names called. It was just a little bit wierd walking down that hallway into the ballroom where all the other lords and ladies stood behind there chairs like granite statues, eyes glued on you. I felt a little like a celebrity walking down the Red Carpet, with all the cameras being pointed in my direction! I don't think I even smiled! Maybe I did....
When everyone had entered, we continued with the feast. Miraculously, nothing caught on fire! I just knew that a cadle would be knocked over and that table of tulle would go up in flames!
After the meal, we took some more pictures - nothing exciting there - and then we began the dancing! It was all a whirl.....I really had the most fun during the second Circassian Circle, but it was all simply delightful!

Herewith follows a collection of fotographs, not all world class photography (okay, none of them are) but they commemorate the moment well enough!

Jordan appears to be bowing her head in prayer....she isn't really, but it's a sweet picture anyways.
It's been a long night....
We have the younger ladies sporting lovely forest colors, and the two oldest...wearing black and white!
