3rd Sunday in Advent

Today we light the candle of Joy.

Isaiah 35:10 (NASB)

Behold, the ransomed of the LORD will return
And come with joyful shouting to Zion,
With everlasting joy upon their heads
They will find gladness and joy,
And sorrow and sighing will flee away.

I've been feeling rather Josh Groban-less in the past couple of weeks. My cd is scratched, it's a family rule that you can't buy things for yourself this close to Christmas, and the site where I can usually get free downloads is down, maybe forever. :-(

Possible remedy: pictures!

I'm sorry to all my anti-Josh friends (Steffen!), but I did try to limit myself to less than fifty. (ha!)

The White Elephant party was great fun. When we finally got around to the exchange part (ha), I scored an almost working Mouse Trap game. Yes! I was extremely devastated at being deprived of the doll by some unspeakably cruel person who's name I won't even mention (no offense to any of his family!), but at least I escaped the stuffed cow.

I and several others who fluxuated in and out, with the assistance of Caleb and Mrs. Reese had great fun (by this point you're probably wondering why I don't come to the point!) playing Upwards. We invented a new word: Homs, or if you like it better backwards: Smoh. And we all came to the agreement that J.R.R Tolkein would never use a word such as blat and so neither should we.

In other news, surprise of surprises, Venturing is meeting at Regent's Academy this Tuesday. *and there were gasps from the darkened theatre* Yes, that's right, in the same building as male teenagers!!!!!!! What is the world coming to. I think we might excape alive.
