Too tired............

After an entire weekend of performing the Seussical, now I must spend five days at Choir Camp, rehearsing morning till night. Uggghhhh. Well, improvement ne'er comes wi'out practice. But now to the more interesting subject of the play! We've had no real catastrophes.....yet. How we've managed THAT I don't know. Oh, we know all about catasptrophes, most of them fairly minor.

During Anne of Green Gables, the boquet of fake flowers in Anne's bedroom caught fire once while Anne and Marilla were talking, and neither one noticed! The plastic vase was melting and had caught the tablecloth on fire so Matthew had to make an impromptu entrance and say something like...I smell something burning, what is it? to get them to put it out.

In Bye Bye Birdie, Hugo Peabody missed and actually punched Conrad Birdie in the face, fracturing his nose and giving him a concussion.

In Annie Get Your Gun, a flat fell during opening night, ripped a hole in the backdrop and crushed two people under it.

In King & I, a lightning bolt struck the theatre and we lost all the lights. We had to continue the play with the director shining a flashlight on the actors. Also during that storm, a tree fell and totalled a car outside.

During A Texas Tragedy, someone spit their gum out on the stage and an elderly lady stuck her foot on it, fell and broke her leg.

So, we await to see if we can make it through this show, catastrophe-free. Oh yeah, you can still come and see the show! Friday and Saturday night at 8 and Sunday at 2! It's so good! You'd think it'd be a dumb kids show, but honestly you have to see it.
