A few memorable moments. The Spanish Circle was announced and my partner Mr. Evan Yerkes wished to begin dancing with my lovely sister and her partner Mr. Jordan Yerkes so we led a "dignified trot" across the floor and slid into place just before Miss Sarah McClure and Mr. Joshua Jones, and I felt very bad because we stole their place. But then we all had a good laugh because it was the Yerkes, dancing with the ********** (last name ommitted), and the Jordans were dancing together.
The ribbon on my dance card came untied so my father was retying it when Daniel Alders came to ask for a dance. I didn't know what to say so I said "I would be delighted, but my father is retying my card so you'll have to wait a minute."

And now depression sets in. After months and months, the day we thought would never come will never come again. It's over.
